A small detail that people might miss in Saratoga's Kancolle design: Her right anklet actually changes between her normal and kai form while her left remains the same.

The bulge apparently represents the assymetrical bulge added to Saratoga's hull in 1942, as mentioned in her wiki entry:

>While under repair after being torpedoed in January 1942, Saratoga received a 7-foot-2-inch (2.2 m) bulge on the starboard side of her hull. This was primarily intended to increase the ship's buoyancy, improve stability and allow her full fuel capacity to be utilized. The bulge was estimated to increase her metacentric height by 3 feet (0.9 m) and decrease her speed by one-quarter of a knot. It was also used to store additional fuel oil and increased her capacity to a total of 9,748 long tons (9,904 t).
