It's really a multitude of things making me uneasy.
>not even sure whether I'm better off with a 1/700 or a 1/350, or even if I'm looking at the best models available (though my fixation for full hull limits the number of options, so I think I'm looking in the right place)
>1/700 is cheaper, but seems to be sold out (almost) everywhere, and I'm not sure about the almost, so now there's added time pressure (this time pressure is what's making me look seriously into it rather than just cursory glances)
>also it probably requires more attention because everything is smaller
>1/350 is around 4 times more expensive, which would make a fuck-up all the worse
>things are listed as skill level 3 on Hobby Link Japan, which considering my 0 experience and 0 tools would probably be a fool's errand;
>assembly guide will probably be untranslated so I won't have a clue what I'm doing anyway
>fear of choosing the wrong paints
>I don't even know whether I'll have enough dedication to see the task through if I were to do it
>doesn't help either that I'm fairly short on money during a time I'm also looking into changing my 6-year old laptop
Or I could just go for one of those Easy series models that only needs to be assembled, but it's more expensive than the regular 1/700 and it's waterline only, so it makes me feel like I'd be doing a disservice to my wallet in the long run.
