I relate to the impostor feeling, anon.
While it's not possible for me to ascertain whether we're wired the same and thus offer optimal advice, I would recommend you to try "manufacturing" creativity by mapping things you like on a whiteboard/canvas of some kind and see how you can mix things together.

My point is that, not everyone's brain/mind necessarily has direct access to the function that makes it smooth and easy to intuitively combine elements internally and sprout forth something that feels "original".
However, don't go thinking you're inferior based on what I said. Because you do not have this readily available means you have something else instead which has its own worth. Now you can get where I'm going: vice versa, someone who has what we're talking about does not have what you have.

Take notes in a what that feels best to you. Not in a way you believe is the correct way. Ask yourself questions and explore yourself. That you took the time to type all of this shows to me that you definitely have something in you. But that something is running into trees, so work on giving it a map to come forth. The result may not be what you necessarily what you initially envisioned, but I have no doubt it will be a fulfilling result for you.
