Not sure what you mean by segregation, but there is a huge diversity of mamono realms, from those that are solely one type of monster (undead kingdoms) to those that include all types. There are common aspects of monster cultures, but beyond those aspects there is a huge amount of variability (just look at how different the Land of Four Fiends is from the Land of Four Gods is).

Not to mention how there are different types of mamono realms that distinguish various cultures further.

Actually, Lescatie is treated as pretty extreme even by monster standards. The novice Kikimora in Exet's game says as much, remarking that it's enough to make her quite distracted when trying to work.

I'm pretty sure at least one other monster notes how Lescatie is wilder than other mamono realms too, and if nothing else we see bright green mamono realms are conventionally beautiful and peaceful.

And even Lescatie is noted to have a worse reputation than it deserves, with the tanuki noting that the frenzy that resulted from its initial transformation is not how things usually are, and that everything calmed down in the aftermath.

Interesting, seems MGE stories may be more likely than some to depict things other than the first time they have sex. Hill Where Love Blooms likewise starts well after the sexual relations started.

Good timing, World Guide 1 and 2 are fully translated on Monster Girls Redux, and World Guide 3 is almost fully translated. Additionally there is Succubus Notebook.

Of those, I suppose my favorite is World Guide 2. It provides a more "normal" look at mamono realms and monster behavior compared to the extremes of the Lescatie-focused World Guide 1. Plus Saphirette is a smoking hot and interesting author.

On the other hand, none of the books on the setting match the sheer amount of info in World Guide 3. And Succubus Notebook gives up more depth on succubi than we have available for any other single monster race.

So was anyone else surprised at how normal/vanilla "The Hill Where Love Grows" depicted a bright green mamono realm? I can only imagine what some of the more vocal detractors of KC's setting might think of it. Their minds might break at how different in tone it is from their view of KC's world.

And assuming the main guy in it is an incubus (he should be, having lived in that place for a while and fucking two monsters most every day), I was pleased to see that the whole "infinite stamina" thing didn't mean he was some raging sex machine always wanting more. Indeed he outright did get a pleasant exhaustion even from just a couple orgasms. Rather it was presented more like he could choose to keep going or just bask in the afterglow.

As for the main monsters, Merry is about what one would expect from a weresheep. However, I can't say I recall ever seeing a holstaur depicted as the jealous, responsible type before.

Also I'd argue its her milk production that is just as important as her boob size.

But more to the point, she has actually gotten a bit of a bust upgrade/redesign in various more recent arts KC has done of her, as seen at left.

I think we really need more of the lighter material translated, stuff about how the average life of someone with monster girls in the MGE is like. So I voted for the World Guide 2 story. A weresheep and holstaur fighting over a farm boy looks sweet.
