Is it morally wrong to learn Japanese in order to find a japanese girlfriend?

I've always been interested in Japan, but I know for a fact that has not been enough reason for me to start learning the language. Only after I pumped my brain full of idol shows I fell in love with the "idea" of a japanese girlfriend and it's been over 6 years since I've shown any interest in the opposite sex whatsoever. I've been writing a bunch of out of my league pretty japanese girls, just some language exchange stuff - and some of them actually seem to regularly reply - but I've left a respectable crater of dead conversations and read-but-not-replied-to messages.

I have no doubts whatsoever that it's something I definitely long to achieve, but I doubt my reasons. Of course there's also the issue of LDR, which I conveniently avoid thinking about because it's the achilles heel of my dream.

So, what do you think? Am I gambling with the devil here?
