12 year old girl became the internet meme of 2004 . futaba and 4chan userbase depicted her in countless images ,creating the alternative internet personality we all know, derived from the only (alleged?) picture of her we had at the time- and the story news,of course.
I still remember links posted by 4chAnons to futaba, and the subsequent spreading of the meme. Anons from 4chan were really amused about this...
Nevada-tan was born, and that probably that was the first big meme/digital personality birth i have assisted.

The most interesting part is that the "original" Sasebo slasher "disappeared" from real life(reformatory).
She has been reborn in virtual form as Nevada tan, still living as meme , while we don't have anymore news from the original...
