It's noted that thanks to Poseidon monsters do hold unequaled dominions over the oceans. That said, KC has noted that lesser water deities still loyal to the chief god control some parts of the ocean (much smaller than what Poseidon controls), and that the Order does most of their sailing in these areas. One doesn't have to worry about Poseidon hooking you up with monster girls in these areas, but on the other hand in these places you can die from drowning.

World Guide Gaiden 3 also indicates that it took quite some time for Poseidon's mana and its helpful effects to spread to all the areas of the sea under her control, that she used monsters who served her to help spread it over time.

To clarify, yes, Poseidon's mana fills the areas of the sea she has domain over and acts automatically to preserve the lives of drowning people. This is possible because she is a monster girl now and mamono mana acts according to desires.

Women who drown are instead transformed into nereids. Men who drown are put in a coma-like state while emitting a signal that will attract a sea bishop or other sea monster to come and save them.

And of course, many people are rescued before they reach the point of drowning, but far from all.

Also, KC has noted in a tweet that there are parts of the sea under the control of water deities still loyal to the chief god. These areas are smaller than what Poseidon controls, but can be traveled without risk of attack by sea monsters. On the other hand, storms and drowning will kill people like in the real world here.

I am curious what is contradictory, as to my knowledge it's all been pretty well explained.

Bold for a sea bishop, going for getting the client to touch her breast right from the start.

Also, that mermaid story would make for a pretty good MGE movie I think.

The arm fins mainly (unless that green mermaid on the cover is a sea bishop, in which case it'd be the large size of the hip fins since she has those but lacks the arm fins of the profile sea bishop).

Let's see, in terms of living gods we have:

Chief god
Fallen god
Aries
Poseidon
Eros
Hephaestus
Bacchus
Bastet

So eight we know by name or title. There is a Japanese water god mentioned by name in MGE volume 2 but it is rumored to be Poseidon by another name.

There is also the sun god that empowered the pharaohs and is implied to have been slain in the war against the apophis mamono lord and its army.

As for unnamed gods, we know from KC that there are male gods. We also know there are minor ocean gods still loyal to the chief god that control some parts of the ocean (small compared to what Poseidon rules).

Rather than post a Dark Priest and ask you to confess deep dark fantasies like the usual guy on page 10, instead I'm going to ask something else of you.

Who are the posters in these threads that put you in a good mood? A certain drawfag or writer you like, a waifufag with good taste or maybe something as simple as something as a greentext writer who cheered you up. Lets end the thread on some good vibes.

That's true of the "neutral" gods like Eros, but the gods fully out on the side of monsters are pretty much all stated to be monsterized (or half monster, half god).

For instance, in "World Guide 1: Monster Society" the following is said about Poseidon:

>As of the present, she's become a monster that has mamono mana within her and left the control of the Chief God, so the storms and tsunamis she causes aren't for killing people, they're for hooking up human men with monsters who are looking for a man. It is said that most of the people presently thought to be missing at sea are actually living peacefully in the sea. In the case of men, they've become a sea monster's husband, and in the case of women, they've become monsters themselves. A portion of her power is granted to her faithful followers, the “sea bishops (encyclopedia I – p.116).” This power is used in rituals to save humans who've fallen into the sea, and modify their bodies so that they can live in the sea as husbands of sea monsters

>Oceanic Welcoming Blessing

>Difficulty: 1 out of 3
>Mana Cost: 1 out of 3

>A hieromancy spell that priests who serve the sea god such as “sea bishops (Encyclopedia I – p.116)” use by borrowing the power of “Poseidon” the sea god. One of the most basic spells of Poseidon's hieromancy that makes creatures “suited for underwater activities”. It enables land creatures, including humans, to temporarily be active even in the sea. Underwater breathing becomes possible, as well as underwater speech, and vision will remain clear even underwater. To perform the “oceanic binding ritual” which enables men married to sea monsters to live even in the sea, the man targeted must be constantly supplied with mana, so it is necessary to keep copulating with his monster wife to be, but, on the other hand, “oceanic welcoming blessing” is usable just by offering a simple prayer to Poseidon.

>“Oceanic binding ritual” is a spell with a permanent effect which causes a human man to evolve into an incubus adapted for life in the sea, while on the other hand, “oceanic welcoming blessing” is a spell that's nature is to grant power that enables underwater activities. The effects are only temporary, and it is typically used on humans and land monsters when they visit underwater cities as tourists, when sea monsters bring men under the sea for trysts, and so on. For the purpose of safety, this spell, created by kindhearted Poseidon, incorporates a formula that will extend and sustain the magical effects with Poseidon's mana or mamono mana from the outside. In other words, in addition to Poseidon's mana floating in the sea, contact with monsters also makes the spell's effects last longer, so it is designed so that the effects won't suddenly wear off in the middle of the sea.

>For that reason, whenever men visit underwater cities, monsters are inevitably drawn to them. Often, they will try to touch a man's body, or become physically close. There are no ulterior motives... is naturally something we cannot say. If there's a man doing things by himself, then most monsters would aggressively try to accompany him, since for an unmarried monster it's the perfect opportunity to get him to like her too along with the beautiful oceanic city. And apparently, it's not uncommon for “oceanic binding ritual” to then be performed after men are bound to monsters and become residents of the sea. Additionally, the “sea bishops” themselves who cast this spell may accompany men into the sea out of concern for them due to their gentle and devoted personalities, but being modest late bloomers, in most cases, they can't make the first move themselves, so we absolutely want men to aggressively make advances on them.

>“Mother ocean, please grant this being a gentle aquatic embrace...
>Now it's okay to enter the sea. I'll be guiding you as well, so I am happy if I can get you to like the sea where we live even the slightest bit...”
>~a sea bishop, a priest of the sea god~

It gets even more complicated in that its implied some gods are known by multiple names and identities. Like MGE volume 2 mentions that the sea god the umi osho serve is named Wadatsumi, but its theorized she may be the same being as Poseidon.
