AX is weird for meeting people. Mainly due to so many people coming from out of town. Like, other-side-of-the-world out of town.
PMX is in mid-November and is REALLY small (~1000) so there should be less of a problem with crowds if that's an issue.
Also, it's not focused on just Japan material but anything south/asian. It's... amusing in its own way.

ALA is ALA. /cgl/ tripfags abound and have made this their defacto home con. I'd say more but I wasn't allowed to enjoy the last one due to shitty meetings about shit I didn't want to give half a shit about, so I mostly have bitter feelings about some of the people there. The rest of it was enjoyable.

Going by those symptoms, all of /jp/ has that.
I can recall a moment within the past three months that I've met every single one of those symptoms. It's not that unusual.
I can function in a social setting, sure, but I do need my time alone. Like, really anti-social-I-don't-give-a-fuck-who's-going-I-want-to-be-in-my-own-world kind of time alone.
Then it feels worse when I start to think about what kind of jackass I was to those who cared enough to invite me.
