Go play all of these, they're considered classics (although a couple of trolls will post after this claiming one or multiple of them to not be classics - which is funny, since they're only hating on them because they're popular). You can download them from http://vnddl.webs.com/list.txt . If you're too lazy to manually download multi-part files, get JDownloader.

Third, /jp/ hates newbies, especially ones who know nothing about its subjects. Leave the board until you've played at least a decent amount of classics and know what 'Touhou' is, then even when you return, lurk for at least a couple of weeks to get the rest of the basic knowledge before you post again.

This is actually the first time I've been to this board. I frequent /v/ a lot, and every time a visual novel thread is made, people rage and say "HURR DURR VISUAL NOVELS AREN'T VIDEO GAMES TAKE THAT SHIT OVER TO /jp/."

So, visual novels, anybody? Hell, do you guys even welcome them here? If not, I'll delete the thread.

I recommend Ever17 or Clannad.
Former is awesome mystery, latter is awesome slice-of-life comedy and drama. Neither has any porn.

Now after I posted this both I think I should say that in my personal opinion you should start with True Remembrance and with Narcissu.
They aren't that good and there are VN's way better but they are pretty short and don't have choices so they are a good introduction.
that being said just follow the images and don't go after anything too long at first.

Since someone was kind of enough to show me the ropes when I was new, as will I now be kind to you.
