You know, fellow wotas, there's something about this photo which I find both unique and endearing.
I've tried figuring out what this je-ne-sais-quoi it exused with really is for a while, but it all fell into place just now: when observing it, it's as if you can really feel there's a bond of friendship and mutual confidence between the two, which goes beyond the mere forced smile of similar shots.

I believe Kikkawa does actually put all of her trust in Koharu and that she in turn treats her as a friend. Unlike Reina, who despite never letting her true colors show out is always fuming inwardly because of her lower popularity. Or Aika, who can be regarded as Koharu's pet animal at best.
Do you believe Kikkawa looks up to Koharu as a mentor? She surely must have taught her plenty of tricks of the trade along the way.
