Sugita Tomokazu was 37 years old (Katakuri's debut in anime 2018)
Seki Tomokazu was 33 years old (Lucci & the pigeon on his shoulder debut in 2005)

both are the "final boss" type chara in each arc.

i looked through the 2ch archived threads of One Piece seiyuu discussion back in 2005.
The announcement of Water 7 arc voice actors happened in Shonen Jump around May 2005.
But 2 months prior, the new Doraemon voice actors got accouned on TV, they aired the whole process of the audition process (14 years old Kimura Subaru + seki tomokazu)

So, Seki Tomokazu is Suneo in Doraemon (very high pitched voice), so the people on threads there were like , what? Suneo? Lucci is very low voiced and stoic and shit.
but obviously Seki Tomokazu had always been highly regarded for his talent since his debut that it was just amazing.
