Years later and I still don't understand what some people want from this board. What kind of threads were you hoping to see when you opened /jp/?

The thousandth "dog jumping over five hoops", the millionth "japanese bird cooking spaghetti", a three to four reply fatchouli image dump thread, the billionth "yukkuri shitte itte ne" where a Reimu dumpling gets abused and tortured? Dawson spam? Is that what you want to see? Maybe there's not enough tripfags? Not enough /b/tard raids? I just don't know, because that's exactly what /jp/ used to be outside of the one or the other Comiket and Elona general.
