As one of you said, life is overall better for good looking individuals. But the point where a girl will have a harder time, at least in terms of finding a parter/relationship/casual sex, is way lower than for men who literally get wiped out of existence if they're under 6/10 or too small. Whereas even disabled women can easily date higher than their looks and status.
Actually I think that's partly the reason why despite all of George's efforts, Yasu was still heavily attracted to Battler and fell for him because he simply had the looks(as well as the confidence/personality suiting his appearance), and didn't look like a chubby pretentious nice guy virgin.(that's also why I'm not a big fan of the PS3 sprites, he isn't fat enough) Not saying that I'm hating George here, nor being frustrated like the robots from a certain board, but I'm glad that Ryukishi took a realist approach on this one.
