I heard the anons whispering to each other in hushed tones. I could only hear fragments of their conversation here and there, but what little I did hear filled my soul with dread. "What? He is returning?" "Have mercy on us..." "The curse will strike again. Prepare the charms."
That's right. I'd already been told. The person who was apparently returning was the legendary destroyer of threads, the so-called "Italianon".
I had been away from /jp/ for a few years so I had never actually seen this person myself, but the rumor was that he had come here one day and reigned with an iron fist for almost two years, destroying threads left and right whenever he felt like it, and no anon had ever been able to stop him. No, it was even worse than that: trying to engage with him only made him stronger. Apparently he was so powerful that the anons had turned to the occult in their despair, wearing scorpion charms and hopelessly repeating magic incantations intended to drive away Italians. But it was all useless. Italianon was an existence above that of humans.
I had always thought that these were only fairy tales used to scare little newfags before they went to bed. Could such an insane being...... really exist?
Little did I know then that that was to be the last happy /07/th thread I would ever see.
