Don't forget that Yorihime was *designed* by ZUN to be anti-reimu, an archetyp that he was trying to create since PCB (youmu is basically proto Yorihime and Sanae is the final result) she's extremely strong, way more than most of the cast. It's ok for Reimu to lose against her, she was *designed* to win that fight.
