I tried explaining this to someone yesterday but they didn't listen. I'm personally very against it because it's literally impossible and breaks the immersion for me (i don't think "they're youkai birds, not birds!" is a good excuse, feathers are feathers) but if the majority of people want it, it should be added. Egg laying should be given a much bigger priority, though.

It's sad to me that people either want Touhou to be either Yotsuba or Tokyo Ghoul.
One of the things that make Touhou so interesting is the relationship between Youkai and humans; an inherently flawed society, and one that strives to live in peace.

FS didn't even get serious until much later in the chapters. Fortune Teller was in volume 4, its far too early to be judging how dark the current manga are, and one's been cancelled.
WBaWC also has a very interesting and unique theme to it, I don't know how you're getting the "ZUN is getting less creative" argument.
