That spell isn't too bad, but there's variation, so sometimes you'll just get shat on. When the bullets phase out, fly up while counting 2 seconds in your head, then get to a nearby gap (the phase out lasts 2.5 by my reckoning); unfocus if you have to. On normal, tapping down while focused will move you at about the same speed as the bullets. As a bonus, here's a visual guide to her first (much easier) spell.
