You began to notice a gradual and slight change in Aya. While she was still the driven and confident girl you meet all that time ago, but there seemed to be a growing softer edge to her. Before she never really seemed to ask what you wanted, dragging you along with whatever she had planned. But now you would often hear "Hey Anon do you want to....." or "How about we...." before she asked something of you. The tengu also seemed a bit more thoughtful about being physical with you. Before she would often pull off tricks like trying to give you a hickey in the Suzunaan while Kosuzu was fetching things from the back and seeing if the girl would notice. Now she never felt you up in public. This wasn't to say she lost interest in the more physical side of the relationship, but she would actually make her move on you when she was sure you were in the mood, a far cry from her more forceful nature. She even seemed to forget about her blackmail over you. The times you decided to test her new attitude and reject her when she asked something of you, the worst she got was a little upset. No threatening you with soiling your name or exposing your secrets.Just a normal, everyday "Oh Well" before she moved on.

You were curious about what brought on these changes, but it wasn't the sort of thing you could just ask her about. "Hey Aya, I noticed you stopped molesting me, good for you" and "Did you forget you would blackmail me?" weren't really polite to ask. Now, the two of you were trying to fight a news drought by figuring out if anything was going on. After an hour of spit-balling ideas, while she showed interest in your suggestions you both came to the conclusion that this was going to be a difficult issue to publish. Aya sighed and rubbed her temples. "I got some old articles I put on the back-burner, maybe write a few columns, we might be able to squeak out an issue here. Anon, could you please go through my archives and look for anything that looks good and isn't too outdated? I'll try to write up an option piece for now" Even when you're engaged in the tedious task of going through a mountain of old unfinished articles and notes, you can't help but enjoy yourself. Something about this seems so normal. At times like this, you forgot how Aya forced you into this relationship. If things continued on like they did now, you could be a happy man.
