The open world caused characters and events to suffer badly. A lot of scenes don't come until after you pass the exam and they're all done in a lazy VN style. By this I mean that you have characters on each side of the screen. All Liane does throughout the game is constantly sperg out about how cute Firis is. She immediately left me with a terrible impression right from the beginning of the game. Firis is okay but her seiyuu is annoying. Also constantly hearing her field dialogue is awful. But you can't fast travel so you better get used to hearing it nonstop. Illmeria was the only decent one but then they go and throw the super-cliche breast envy trope on her during the second group hotsprings scene. I can't stand this type of shit, it's always terrible and does nothing for the character.

It's annoying to have this happen, yes. The actual outfit design is alright though. Sophie at least stayed a consistent medium.
