the curse of characterization, though I found it to be rather bittersweet in the context; she feels so stagnated in her situation and past, mainly her wrong deeds, whereas Reimu has moved forward, changed herself for the better and is dead set on making good things happen, all done without her 'best friend' in the picture. Unlike Reimu, she hasn't changed at all and even with babies coming for her to take care of, she'd still be that same Marisa from the past, stealing; coveting another woman's man, speaking that shitty two syllables and so on, though I doubt she'll remain the same after this conversation with Reimu.
