Minos and Jinkos are the only race that has all muscular individuals. Hellhounds arent naturally muscular, neither warriors that would train or seem to like discipline, like training. Yet KC included them in an implied list of tall and buff MGs, so Hellhound getting shredded specifically to protect their husbands is likely canon.
