I bit the bullet and downloaded F/GO. I know that everyone here already knows this but I'm amazed at how bad it is. I'm done with the second singularity (France). The general idea with singularities and whatnot isn't terrible, but the specific scenes read like a malicious parody of previous Fate. The tone reminds me of these dreadful marvel films in the sense that they have this "ironic" and detached tone, like "we know, and we know that you know this is lame and stupid, and we're just salvaging what fun there is to be had from this retarded thing". There were a couple of touching scenes with Gilles and Jeanne, but otherwise it's crap. The fighting is actually kind-of fun, though there is far too much of it. I've killed hundreds of these retarded skeletons and dragons at this point. The gacha is really stingy too. I play LLSIF too and that one's much more generous. All I got thus far are mostly a bunch of literally-who assassins and Berserkers and that weird yandere dragon thing. At least I got Shota Gil too. He's fucking cute.
