Too curious to resist, I tried asking Reimu why she thought that Hearn kept using that name, even though everyone involved knew that it was obviously not her real name. "Uh..." Reimu said, scratching her head. "I think she just wanted to appear really mysterious and aloof, which is great for your first meeting, but she must have forgotten that I know who she is, because now she's got to work twice as hard to keep the mystery up." Was that normal behaviour for her? "Honestly? It's not too far off." Reimu laughed a little, digging through the box. "Hey, is this...That scarf? Look at it! It's so long that it'll be dragging on the ground from here to Eientei! And why's it so many colours? Where'd she even find this?"

She'd been spending the last hour or so going through the box of clothes she had been given by Hearn. Nearly all of the items seemed to ascribe to Reimu's usual red-and-white tastes, which meant that she could pull off nearly all of the outfits very well. The clothes, she proclaimed, were the 'warmest things she'd ever owned', and I had to force down an urge to claim that Yamame could probably make something even warmer, which was good because Yamame seemed as interested in the whole thing as I was.

"That Hearn must really like you, Reimu." Yamame commented, lifting up a long-sleeved, crisp-looking red shirt. "This material is very fine. It'll probably feel like nothing against your skin." Next was a vest, more like the kind that Reimu already wore, but the material felt soft and almost fluffy. "Huh. Interesting choice." Yamame commented, feeling it. "Do these all fit you, Reimu?" She asked curiously, looking up from where she was sitting on the floor.

"Let's see..." Reimu pulled her detached sleeves off before tossing her normal vest on the floor, leaving her with her sleeveless shirt and skirt. "Give it here." She motioned for Yamame to pass over the vest that she'd been holding. "Oh, that does feel nice." She commented, raising her arms to pull it over her head. "I don't think I'd wear it out anywhere though. It seems a bit fragile. Why's the inside lined with fur too?" I wondered if you were supposed to wear the vest without a shirt underneath. "Huh?" Reimu asked, looking a little confused. "Uh...Well, I guess if you're not going outside, or if you're alone all day, that's not too weird..." I asked Reimu what she was so worried about. She'd been fine sleeping with me during the storm. "Yeah, but that's different. That was for sleeping, this is something more people could see me in." Reimu thought for a moment. "I guess I'll think about it. What's next?"

And on we went for a while longer. Hearn had packed so many things into the box that I thought it would never end, especially when Reimu began pulling out things like bracelets, rings, and necklaces. Who was going to want to wear all that, I thought. It seemed like so much stuff that it'd weigh you down before you could even move. Some of the things that Reimu had pulled out looked to be close to what I'd seen some people wearing on both occasions that I'd been kidnapped to the Outside World by Hearn, and I wondered if she'd picked up all of the clothing from there. Perhaps some of it was handmade, but I had a suspicion that if it was, it was handmade by Ran and not by Hearn. But...Then again, Hearn definitely seemed to have some strange sort of feelings going on with Reimu, if the meeting I'd witnessed had been any indication. The way she looked at her made me think that she was seeing someone else, though I didn't know what that could mean. It was the sort of thing that would go entirely over my head.

After a minute or so, I realised that Yamame was poking my side. Frowning, I looked down at her. "I think Reimu wants to try on all these clothes, and I need to get started on Kagerou's hood." I looked over at Reimu, who looked like she'd been caught out. "Do you want to go?" Yamame asked me, sitting up properly. I looked down at her and remembered the stone sitting in my pocket, and Reimu's conversation with me by the torii gate. If she was busy working on Kagerou's commission...Yes, I said. We could go. I turned to Reimu and promised that I'd come by again as soon as I could. Privately, I thought that with Marisa and Tenshi off fighting each other in some sort of war game, Reimu wouldn't really have anyone but Aunn to talk to. I thought that she might have Lady Kasen, too, but I didn't know where she was and it didn't sound like she'd been back to the Shrine any time recently. Perhaps Raki was taking up more of her time than she had thought.
