I still try to figure out how exactly the style of spell card duel seen in the fighting games is supposed to mesh with the rest of the setting. Like it seems to be a different subset of the rules compared to whats seen in all the other canon material.

The whole idea of the rules being that it creates an even field of play so that theoretically anyone could defeat anyone else, isn't it? While the whole fighting-game style of duel we see in the fighters seems to kinda throw that out the window by being so based on physical combat, while having nowhere near as many pattern-based attacks as the shooters.

Or maybe I'm just being overly autism about things nobody else actually cares about.
