Appreciate it, I was hoping to do it right and curry interest with the intro. Feels good the short is near 50 readers at the time of this post. Maybe if I dedicate more to the project I’ll probably make an AO3 account and post there for more.
On Yukari I know she’ll be a serious challenge, jobber memes aside. In fact I often think about the minutiae of youkai being immune or at least resistant to conventional damage like guns as you pointed out but I kind of figured since the Slayer is imbued with supernatural power via Divinity Machine empowerment, he can innately harm youkai even with regular guns and melee weapons. Failing that, his more exotic weapons that use Argent or Sentinel energy as a base could work against them I think.

Appreciate your kind words too, I wouldn’t mind input but I kind of had the nebulous idea of Doomguy roaming around at the risk of doing some fluff/filler before maybe making his way to either the SDM or the Human Village as possible next points.
