So many 'badass Touhou' pictures add stupid bullshit and it ruins the effect. Dressing the characters in black (>>9619860), giving them extraneous crap that doesn't even match the rest of them (>>9619760's gauntlet, what the fuck), or giving them cheap crazy eyes (>>9619822). Touhous are pretty badass in their own right; why not just SHOW that instead of just adding dumb stuff?
