Anon decides to take the seat opposite the pink and purple magician. The desk is quite wide, and there are several stacks of books between them. His view of Patchouli is partially obstructed, but from here, he can easily talk to the girl without being inappropriately close to her.

As he sits down, the magician gives him the smallest of nods (if he looked away for even a second, he would have missed it). The gesture seems to be one of approval. His seat isn't too close that he would make her feel uncomfortable, and it isn't too far that he would alienate her. He returns the gesture with a smile as he opens the untitled book before him.
