I really enjoy helping others. My problems I can cope with internally, but other people need help with theirs. I don't honestly see it as an exchange where I can expect the same in return, I just like doing it.

Hell, I've considered going to an anime con dressed as Reisen and helping nerds with their sexual frustrations just because I like making other people feel good. As long as I have one or two good people I can confide in, I'll be fine.

I figured out why Touhou has a uniquely fanatic cult following. This is my theory:
Games are extremely difficult to beat, so that means repeated attempts are necessary for just about any person to beat the game on Easy, let alone Normal. After you beat the game for the first time, you get a bad ending because you used continues. This makes you frustrated but because you didn't get to see the proper ending after already getting to know the characters, you will keep on trying until you manage to clear the game without any continues
Now, that ofcourse means even more repeating. The soundtrack gets stuck in your head, as do the characters and their dialogues. You notice (or actually, think you notice) some deeper pesonalities behind those characters after seeing their few lines of dialogue over and over again. Then you wish to learn more about the characters, hoard more images and download music that sounds good. But the music sounds good only for you and the images are adorable or awesome only for you. Those people who haven't played these games can't fathom your excitement. If you start to think about it, neither can you. You don't understand why you are doing this.

so yesterday when I was dressed up as Lain, I came from toilet and got attention by yelling "atai tsurupettan naio, onii-chan!~". then there was this one cute girl that said back to me "pettan pettan mochipettan". I was A BIT baffled, but went on with my game, walked at her, touched her breast and said "pettan". she touched my chest and replied "pettan". so I touch her breast again and say "tsurupettan".

there we were, touching each other like in the flash animation and singing that song as a duet for a while. fun times.

lesson learned: never hide the fact that you are Touhou fanatic. others who are too will recognize you instantly.

I'd say Reisen's default outfit is pretty normal.

/jp/, I guess it's time for us to wake up from our self-induced phlegm and do something about the state of this board.

What the mods say behind our back about /jp/ - that it's the garbage bin of 4chan, lacks a clean-cut identity and all in all is the laughing stock of the entire site - is becoming closer and closer to the truth with every passing day, therefore I propose to map out a contingency plan to follow in order to improve the quality of this mod-forsaken place and better our stature to the eyes of the other boards.

Any suggestion?

This has always bothered me, when people post about the best touhou character they always post some other character that isn't Reisen. I mean it's obvious Reisen is what they want to post .

Reisen is too normal. It's like ZUN wanted her to be the "straight man" or a feed for Tewi. I think he should make her batshit insane. Are there any Reisen centered doujins where she's insane?
