Yea pretty much. Confessing to her states her stance on your relationship before she finally cracks and lets you in. There's some date dialogue that implies that all her previous relationships were dull and boring too. So (you) are her first real lover. Now start going hard on Taoism, gotta extend your life so you don't drop dead and leave her alone after a measly 60 years.

It makes sense for youkai. Ran's dialogue when you confess to her shows that she originally doesn't see you as an equal, your relationship is just a fling to her. For them, an emotional attachment is much harder to earn; a youkai resolving to love an ephemeral human means they're okay with the emotional pain of missing you long after your death.
