Ran could probably take on daitengu, but against Sojobo or Sutoku she'd have practically zero chance of getting through. Certainly she could outsmart them, but her chances would be minimal in anything involving confrontation.

Not sure if Sojobo is still around, though, or if he's regarded as more of a "mythological-historical" character. In either case he'd still have some presence since Sutoku seems to be wholy intangible, yet considered a tengu.

It's interesting that Tamamo no Mae is ranked this high since, despite being the most successful active schemer among Japanese fox spirits, it would seem she only had two tails.

I guess it's a good thing being able to show off your tails proudly without attracting hordes of bloodthirsty samurai hungry for fox, but still got to expect some flak from those less well endowed in the tail department.

Seriously, Omachi showing up turns any other fox within miles green. Them tails.

Although if there is a tanuki deity, I'm certain their blessings and love would be in order.
