Matsuri causes drama constantly even though her drama is small scale compared to most other events, she directly engages and confronts critics which makes her an easy target

seems to be a "planned personality" kind of thing? at least I felt despite some of them not resembling their true selves, they're consistent
I think it can be very hit or miss, random humor can be funny but it can easily be cringy if the delivery is poor (and a lot of their delivery is but it has it's moments), either way it feels nice we get to see their models in action and it's nice that they're doing some sort of skits even if most of them are to get reaction gifs/pictures/memes
In the end I think it's just another way to catch the attention of people, older people will have something fun to watch, newer people will have an easy way to consume hololive and get aquainted with other members because of the varied cast of each episode and the short standalone self contained stories and people who have no idea what hololive is might get hooked and keep watching for the "what the hell did I just watch" factor, which sparks their curiosity.
