As I said earlier, this franchise has held Tsukihime back and kept it perpetually stagnant. A real sequel would have followed Shiki, Arc and presumably Ciel fighting DAAs. This would mean he has to actually choose a single route as the Canon one. No ifs and buts about timelines and unseen routes with a mixture etc. Face it if he did that he'd have to actually set the game in interesting locations and not in a generic town. That means no more maids or Akiha which he'd definitely be against dropping them appearing as it would be nonsense in a global trotting adventures vs DAAs. In Nasu's hackiness he'd probably have the story conveniently take place in the same town as 1 so he could justify them appearing and have it all be easy and do his usual gagshit.
