In my case, I don't even really care about the game or even stream type as long as it creates some good commentary from the streamer. If the vtubers aren't having fun it's just shit overall for them and people watching. Look at Korone with the Minecraft AND recently Ark, she played them for a little bit and moved on. She just wasn't interested. Some of them across the scene tried that 7 Days to Die again recently and many have already been put off because it is still a big heaping pile of shitcode and broken "updates". No surprise there.
Anything that is over the top (physics heavy games especially!), crazy hard, cooperative, dumb party and kusoge games or creative outlets are usually my go-to streams since they create the funniest reactions or good solid commentary, or simply just nice creative stuff from Ars making her Minecraft forest, Ichigo and Marine drawing, to music streams / videos (especially if they are unique songs created by them)
Others streams outside of those are fine and I'll even watch them, but the above is preferable for my own personal tastes. I've watched Chihiro play Apex despite generally hating e-sportsy games, simply because Chihiro is fun. Zatsudan to an extent, but some of that is occasionally filled by casual dumb party games and creative streams too, which I prefer over just generic idle chatting.
I love this fucking seaslug.
