i feel like i've discussed/shared some of my thoughts on some of those ideas before. for me, it also goes beyond the movies but also beyond the actual act of browsing too. it's kinda the whole culture or "fandom" of being into JAV and all the adjacent stuff that entails

>predictable release schedule; HAISHIN and HATSUBAI days, advance previews
>codes as a simple and elegant solution for both hoarding and facilitating recommendations/discussion more easily (rather than asking if people have watched Angelina Dickrydah's "Brutal Blonde Bombshell Anal Ravagers 6" or something)
>hoarding itself and all the tech autism with encoding, organisation (again, assisted by the code system), file sharing
>the fact that JAV is feature length means it's closer to regular cinema in some ways than 5-12 minute clips on tube sites, not to mention all the CONTEXT and plot and Lifestyle segments; all this breeds further discussion and humour
>quasi-standardisation allowing for rankings through DMM; more informal rankings from BookMate also feel standardised enough to be kinda trustworthy
>extreme compartmentalisation across studios, genres, fetishes etc mean individual segments can be identified and talked about in great specificity rather than pornography in a vague sense

^i originally posted these in response to a sir wondering if there are places discussing western pornography the same way we do here at /jav/; i was doubtful and wanted to bring attention to some of the inherent "infrastructure" that JAV has in supporting our autism
