It's like saying Dante is a gary stu because he's immortal, super powerful, and perfect. The point is not that he is CRAZY it's how he's ABSOLUTELY CRAZY. The entire game/story is built around him doing impossibly stylish stuff because he's increasingly testing the limits of his power. It's interesting. A normal person would simply sit in a chair, not kick it so it flips over seven times and sit on it the moment it lands.

It's about style. Impressing the reader and instilling wonder, making them want to see just what you will think of next.

It's like a magic show, you don't immediately show off all your tricks at once. You have to sport some showmanship and bait/switch peoples expectations if you want people to be impressed. Capture their imaginations with tricks and expressions while pulling off mysterious feats of wonder.
