Take a website that's known to be a haven for lonely weirdos who jerk off to their imaginary anime girlfriends- even if that's a stereotype knowledge of that stereotype attracts those people anyway-, stuff them into a board that fosters some sense of community, segregate that community into smaller more specific communities ensuring that people with similar tastes group together, have a few individuals become recognizable either through just being there enough to tell, contributing something worthwhile, or straight up attention whoring. Bam, the perfect insane parasocial nightmare stew. As a last ingredient take a multiplayer game or MMO that simulates some kind of social interaction amongst those lonely weirdoes who've drifted toward the abstract idea of each other in some bizarre mutual pseudo-parasocial fucking phenomenon. I've seen people threaten or fucking attempt suicide over the marriage system in FFXIV.

Eh, It's not actually that bad. The ringing is like your heartbeat, when you've had it long enough you can't hear it any more. It's just kind of annoying sometimes when you're trying to sleep sometimes because it's the only time you really focus on it. There are some days where everything sounds 'wrong' somehow and loud noises hurt so much you don't want to get out of bed, but those are pretty rare.
Ollie's worth it though.
