except the whole point of truth vs love was deconstructing the mystery genres treatment of objectivity. no, "choosing what you believe" doesn't just mean that you have to believe in an objective, given reality and get to decide subjectively whether to see it with love or not. In the first place, objectivity is already mediated by the intersubjective and the beliefs and judgements you bring to the table as an observer.
