That's because both he and I thought NISA being bad was an established fact. It has been shown many many times that their translations are inaccurate, gratuitously localized, etc etc. There's a balance to strike between "accurate" and "reads well in English", and what they've chosen is "ignore the Japanese and write whatever English they want", which is bad by most anyone's standards.
