it's not technically wrong if you're aiming for photorealism but hololive isn't photoreal. when working with lights, their shadows are accurate to the geometry of their body which is not optimal for their design which is supposed to look like anime. Aqua's model for example, when a light source is revolving around her face horizontally, the shadows are janky partly because of the poly count and the model but it's mostly because of the orientation of the normals. an ideal would be guilty gear quality of cel shading where the shadows cast are intentional not realistic.
