Regardless of the heavy irony in your post, the rational is essentially in line with my motivation.

The number of people able to preform copy editing like I am is far larger than the set of people able to translate these comics. Furthermore, if the translation has been completed and is sitting around, it doesn't makes sense to demand a translator do the editing work.

Additionally, distributed voluntary collaborative projects like translating fan work 4komas also benefit just as much from intelligent resource management as organized projects do. If you were managing a translation project would you have the translators do copy editing? Then if you are a volunteer translator you should refrain from copy editing, as long as it's likely another volunteer can provide that service.

I bet no one wanted any of that information and I bet no one will read that wall of text.
