Yeah, Danmachi is pretty insane if you think of it. All 7 of them, consisting of 1 main series + 6 spin-offs, managed to nab a spot in the ranking, even if all of them except the Familia Record one are fillers and/or BD side-story/Memoria Freese event compilations. Guy must be rolling in dosh all the time, each and every one of them sold higher than Re:Zero and Tanya, heh.

Lefiya got some massive character development in SO (as you may notice from the haircut) through the purest form of love (Yuri) cockblocking. Her growth in general is quite satisfying to see, she goes from an Annoying Fangirl > Annoying Yuribait > Mediocre Dyke > Strong Femcel in the span of 13 volumes.
SO's main selling point, however, is not Lefiya but rather the Loki Familia as a whole. The contrast between Danmachi's somewhat innocent "Noob goes adventuring but nothing goes wrong" and SO's depiction of real conflicts between top-tier adventurers, cults, etc. that always result in death and tragedy is honestly quite poignant, at least before Omori did a 180° and started to introduce prostitution, self-mutilation, and genocide in Danmachi + hope, faith, and conviction in SO. But well, it's still a spin-off in the end, so most of what SO did got off-screen'd and unappreciated in the main story.

>Nobody thinks patreon MTL scammers are acceptable
Except said patreon MTL scammers themselves yeah. Which is probably what our resident retard-kun here actually is. Or from his words of "Media vandalizing," a Bushiroad employee/intern tasked with PR stuffs, like them fags at VN TL threads usually got.

It's just your bad luck, or perhaps you were reading adapted WNs? Then yeah, the endings for those can vary wildly, pretty sure Shield Hero used to end with Naofumi dying then realizing it was all a dream before being retconned into what it is now.
At least from the original LNs I've read, I've got no problem with the endings of Kyoukai Senjou, Waltraute, Heavy Object, Zashiki-Warashi, Regios, Ben-To, Rental Magica, ZnT, Campione!, Imosae, etc.

Because it apparently made someone very mad, I'll just say it, Dendro. But seriously, nobody's holding anyone back from discussing anything ever since the thread was made last year, the recent Dendro/TRPG influx only occurs due to the series being updated again after a while. And to be fair, the fags were already here from the start.
If you want to blame someone, blame YP/7S for their absolutely slow releases making EOPs miss out on new Kantoku cuties, PETA Hermione, and schizoid elites. I mean, as much as I would love to talk about untranslated series, just how much of us here have read the entire 3500+ chapters of Legend, or unfinished/hiatus series like Tsukikage's 誰にでもできる or 昏き宮殿? Hell, I'm not even sure anyone ever finished Dragoon/Sevens, simply because it's now an old series. It's way easier and more fulfilling to discuss things that everyone knows has serious followers and not just shitposters and falseflaggers you know?

Other than Nisioshit, there's Boogiepop, 3 Days of Happiness, Pancreas, In/Spectre, Holy Grail of Eris, Kusuriya no Hitorigoto, and Utsuru no Hako. You probably should focus on the tragedy or romance (for josei/shoujo) tag since they tend to be filled to the brim with emotional angst.

Overall? Regios (only because Felli won).
RomCom? ImoSae (blessed be Kantoku), Baka to Test.
Battle Harem? Campione, alternatively Ben-To due to the omnibus ending.
Battle shounen? DxD (the sequel doesn't count).
Senki? Vanadis, but also Alderamin, though I'm in a love-hate relationship with that series.
Mystery? Utsuru Hako, anything Nisio.
Smut? 純愛陵辱, Zombie Afureta, Shishunki na Adam.
Mecha/Sci-Fi? Antique, Heavy Object.
Chuu2shit? Mondai.
Axed series? Chronicle Legion.

God I miss Ben-To.

>TRPG's actually well crafted prose to be unreadable
That's usually the problem though, TRPG reads like an actual western fantasy novel even in its base form while Hellmode is pretty much just a minor step-up from something like Re:Monster, of which the latter can be read and digested easily since the stats and skills can also be used as a makeshift crutch for character and plot development, making it easier for speedreaders to keep track of the MC's progress. TRPG's prose on the other hand punishes anyone that can't into literature and those with ADHD severely, since you can miss a whole lot of context due to skipping a even a single paragraph, which non-native and ESLs tends to do from using MTL.

Only because you asked nicely
>Shadow
Stopped reading slightly after Cid got the finger in the WN. I understand the charm, but not my cup of tea, the misunderstandings are better than Strange Grief because they're backed with actual strength, but it has the same problem with other comedy series due to the heavy reliance on the same joke.
>Strange Grief
The plot and jokes relies heavily on misunderstandings and handwaving, so it could get infuriating at times if you're not into those type of development, it's almost like Shadow but with an actually weak protag desu. I personally would rather recommend the author's other work (particularly the priest one) than this though, but reading a weakling fumble his way to escape responsibility is admittedly quite fun.
>Black summoner
Nothing special to note. Has the same problem with most "weak" to strong series, that being the powerlevel progressing way too fast (though it's quite justified due to Kelvin being a fightsexual).
>Otonari tenshi
Haven't finished reading this yet. Years of being mired in /lit/ taught me not to read anything with romance as the main focus, unless it's explicitly smut like Shinsuki na Adam.
>Dendro
Chekov's gun, the series. If you're the type that loves to read deeply into something and overthink even the most insignificant molecule that exists, you'll be deeply rewarded if you read this. It has a shitton of character development, worldbuilding, and foreshadowing that stays engaging due to its exposition that doesn't feel overbearing (at the cost of it having practically zero romance).

The anime makes Layfon seems too OP and it deviates with the source material far too much (although ironically it ends up being better than the LN, except for the ending). Story starts to deviate around vol 9, and Nina NTRs the MC spot from Layfon at vol 11 for at least 8 volumes until Layfon killsteals the final boss, confesses to best girl Felli, then fucks off to become an immortal multidimensional traveler capable of using Not!Judgement Cut with his Not!Yamato without even bothering to say goodbye to his friends, it's amazing.
