i actually like the ed more but yeah i still watch it every time i watch gunbuster because it's honestly a fun show in its own right. i'm always disappointed though because it would be fine as its own thing, it didn't need to be a gunbuster show. they couldn't even be assed to get anno or literally anybody back on board to help keep it true to the original. it's just a fanmade spinoff riding the trends of the times.
