In my opinion the most "bad" trait of Cover Art (and pictures in general) are "clusters"
(Actually I don't know the exact term for this)

And while the picture I posted earlier is a little "washed out" as you say, it doesn't have any visible Clusters, at all.

But yeah as I said before,
my pictures are 'more or less' perfect,
there are definitely better versions in the web somewhere,
