in the west the gap between acting quality in movies and tv exists but its nowhere near as big as it is in japan. i wonder what % of the terrible performances in japanese doramas are due to the need for them to be campy as opposed to the actors just sucking ass

the worst are slapstick anime/manga animations. that shit doesn't even work 95% of the time in the original format let alone with 3d people try to mirror it 1:1. pic related is actually unwatchable and still has a 8.4 on mydramalist lmfao
