TM backstory.
There were 3 gorgon sisters, divine spirits born from human will. They were supposed to be perfect(unlike the Olympus gods), but Medusa was mortal unlike her sisters, and also cursed with her petrifying eyes..
Athena, being a jealous bitch, goaded people into attacking them.
Medusa kept killing their attackers, and started hating humans and enjoying their deaths.
And since she was created from human will, her image started to distorting to that of a monster slowly, and becoming the the atrocious Medusa Gorgon.
Eventually came Perseus and met her end.

The Rider you see is before she is turned fully into a monster, so no snake/tentacle hair.
