Ah, ah. There's a difference between "chilly" and cold to the extreme where hypothermia and frostbite can set in within moments, the moisture in your nostrils and throat freezes instantly and causes you to cough, and if you do something strenuous to keep warm: your sweat freezes right away, trapping the heat inside and instead boiling you from the inside out! Loss of manual dexterity and difficulty opening doors or operating a vehicle or machinery as all the metal has frozen stuck! Walking through two or more feet of snow, which has then been coated by freezing rain giving it a rock-hard armor on the surface that will cut at you. Or as an alternative, stepping ankle-deep in slush: a horrifying mixture of snow, road salt, excrement, and whathaveyou! The dry wind desiccating your skin and splitting your lips all over. Breathing recycled air indoors. Little light, and when there is it is blinding as it reflects off the snow and ice.

Spring is a welcome relief from all of that!
