Yoshika eats, as in satiating herself, mostly out of hunger. Yuuma consumes and absorbs things, which can be anything including concepts. For instance she consumed Yorigami sisters' desires and greed once, I'm pretty sure she consumed their memories too.
On top of that, every time she consumes something, she comprehends it, and it becomes a part of her power. That's why she's known as absolutely unbeatable monster no one dares to fuck with.
