Still, yes, it would be best to have a backup plan.
As in the doujin above, even if you lose grip of who you were, it's likely friends and family will knowingly or unknowlingly remind you, or that you'll have memories of having quite different plans for the future. So it would be best to have a backup plan for dealing with the complications that would arise.

Whether you would want to carry out that plan, though. In a way, the plan wouldn't be your own - to you it would seem to have been made by someone else. It would be more like following someone's last will than doing it for your own benefit.
