Helping sinners doesn't mean encouraging sinful behavior
Some metal musicians are just athiests and larp as pagans or sarcastically worship the devil, but there's also perfectly licit christian imagery, like memento mori, st. Peters cross, gothic themes and wearing all black. It's alien to american protestants though.
