>I'm just speculating because in the main plot you had Hinamizawa/Okinomiya surrounded by a barrier that didn't let any meta-aware characters leave in part 2, and then now in this bad end for part 1, you have Hanyuu going around and killing anyone who might escape from the "box" after being involved in the plot. Just seems like the two concepts are similar.
I dunno. If the main antagonist really is all that concerned with people escaping the Hinamizawa Containment Zone, I'd figure the barrier alone is enough to keep them contained, rather than having to murder them personally.
It doesn't help that whole barrier doesn't exist outside of the main story, since events frequently involve the group leaving the area, even in stuff like the Kanon crossover where the main antagonist appears, with only Hanyuu having difficulty manifesting outside of the Hinamizawa region.

At this point, I feel that the most interesting part is Satoko coming to the conclusion that the imposter Rika and Hanyuu are responsible for her fever during the festival that leads to her being unconscious during most of the events there, when you consider that the same thing happened in the second Showa world. I guess it's possible that it was Shion's doing there, especially since she seemed to have some level of control over the infected similar to the Tsukuyami Rika in the first world, and she would obviously have a motive to get Satoko and Satoshi out of the way when she unleashed hell on earth, but since she was willing to have Satoshi murder Kazuho, I would assume that having Satoko awake to use as a pawn too would've been the preferable to having her sleep through the whole thing.

Though obviously, the true most important part of the event is the knowledge that you can fit three lolis into Rika's bath. I'm grateful that they finally answered this most crucial question.
